Our history

It all started in a small apartment in Vesterbro back in 2018.
3 guys who had a dream of creating clean,
organic, plant-based products.

Emil A, CEO and founder

The driving force behind sustainability

"My dream is to create a social tipping point - to change the way we eat, both in Denmark and globally."

For Emil A, it was about more than just taste - it was about showing what vegetables can do. He wanted to take them to the next level and make them both healthy and attractive. PerfectSeason became a way for him to combine business with social impact.

Henrik, CCO and founder

Health as motivation

"I believe that food should be judged on the back - on the ingredient list - and not on the front of the packaging."

Henrik was driven by the desire to find better alternatives to the ultra-processed foods he saw on the market. His focus was health, natural ingredients and a desire to help people make more conscious choices. For him, PerfectSeason is a way to make vegetables more flavorful and attractive to consumers.

Emil W, Director of R&D and founder

The passion for taste

"We don't care if you eat our products for your conscience - the most important thing is that they taste great. And it's just great that you can nurture your good conscience at the same time"

Emil W's motivation for PerfectSeason was not only to develop products that taste delicious - but also to change the way we look at vegetables: Emil W is particularly good at creating taste experiences and combining vegetables, legumes and other plants in a way you never thought possible.

Sustainability

How we work with sustainability

The world's food has a huge environmental and climate footprint. Approximately 20% of our total climate footprint in Denmark comes from the food we eat. Therefore, at PerfectSeason we have a responsibility to weigh all the choices we make from a sustainability perspective and take an active stance. This is an essential part of the way we do business.

One Dane emits an average of 17 tons of CO2 per year. And according to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, we need to reduce this to 2-3 tons of CO2 per world citizen by 2050. So how do we do it, and where do we even start? At PerfectSeason , we want to make it easier to eat climate smart. That's why we've put the full CO2 emissions of our products on the packaging and compared them to their animal counterparts. That way you know that when you choose PerfectSeason products, you are making the green choice. Learn more about our calculations here

All our products are made from 100% organic vegetables, mushrooms, legumes and spices. Organic is fundamentally based on the idea of sustainability and is about caring for the land, water, air and life. At PerfectSeason , organic is an essential part of the way we cook. For us, the red Ø on all our products symbolizes not only the origin and creation of our raw materials, but a holistic approach to sustainability. By collaborating with some of the best organic producers, we ensure not only taste and quality, but also as an important part of a holistic approach to sustainability.

Worldwide, food production accounts for one third of man-made CO2 emissions. That's why agriculture needs to become more sustainable. And one of the most effective ways to reduce emissions is to produce less meat and more plant-based foods. Right now, 80% of Danish farmland is used to grow crops for animal feed. At PerfectSeason , we're fighting to make it easier for Danish farmers to convert to producing food for people. This will make it even easier for us and other producers to source the raw materials locally, thereby saving even more resources in connection with transportation.

From vegetable to game changer

The mission is simple, to get vegetables back on the plate

We refuse to compromise. Too many plant-based products are packed with ultra-processed ingredients, hidden salt and a festival of e-numbers. Honestly, where did the vegetables go? We believe that food should be as transparent as a freshly washed window and as appetizing as the smell of a freshly fried mushroom dumpling. That's why our mission is simple: to put real vegetables back on your plate, without hidden additives and with ingredients you can actually pronounce. With our products, you're not just getting rid of a foreign dictionary - you're getting food that's as healthy as it is delicious. We make food that's better for your body and the planet, and we do it with 100% organic ingredients. For us, it's all about craftsmanship, and craftsmanship can be tasted.

The vision, also simple: to make vegetables change the world, one bite at a time

We dream big and we dare to say it out loud. We want to revolutionize the way the world sees vegetables. Our dream is a world where plant-based food is not only the healthy choice, but also the tasty and fun choice that also has a cool side benefit: sustainability. We want people to eat vegetables not because they have to, but because they want to. Vegetables are amazing - they have something that makes even the most hardened skeptics surrender. Our products are a celebration of: sustainability, personal health, taste.
